National Disability Insurance Scheme

The government launched the National Disability Insurance Scheme in 2012. The healthcare program was created as a way of assisting those with significant and permanent disability as well as their carers and families by giving them individualised support if they are eligible. The scheme was first tested in 2013 across three designated areas in Australia.
