Our Product
One of the top projects that we have developed is Project Stop. It is an online and real-time decision support system for pharmacists and pharmacy staff in the communities. It helps them determine if a customer has a legitimate reason to ask for a product that contains pseudoephedrine and whether or not they should supply the person.
The Pharmacy Guild of Australia developed it to prevent pseudoephedrine diversion from community pharmacists in Australia to the manufacturing of illicit drugs.
The tool is free to use for all pharmacists and pharmacy staff regardless of whether or not they belong to the Pharmacy Guild.
How to use it?
- The pharmacist will request a photographic identification When the person requests a pseudoephedrine-based product.
- The identification card number will be recorded by the pharmacist in a secured database that the Pharmacy Guild of Australia manages.
- Product name and quantity is also recorded by the pharmacist in the database.
- There will be a check in the database to know if the same number has been entered within the threshold period.
- The pharmacist makes the decision on whether to sell or not based on the therapeutic needs of the customer.
- If there is a sale, the database records it.
